The new academic year in educational institutions of higher and secondary vocational education will begin online using distance technologies.
This was announced on August 18 by the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science.
Taking into account the epidemiological situation in Kyrgyzstan, the ministry decided to start the academic year in higher and secondary vocational educational institutions (regardless of ownership) using distance learning technologies to reduce the risk of coronavirus infection.
The educational process at universities and colleges will be organized using automated information systems, information platforms ZOOM, Google classroom, MOODLE, as well as WhatsApp, Skype, e-mail resources, our own electronic libraries and the Kirlibnet electronic library.
Educational organizations develop plans for students’ independent work in accordance with educational and methodological complexes of disciplines. They will also provide materials for distance learning, improve their own information and educational resources, take measures to update the material and technical base required for the distance format.
Currently, methodological and technical support is provided to teachers of universities and colleges.
The Advisory Council under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic has developed systematic recommendations on the preparation of human resources, educational environment, digital infrastructure, methodological framework and methods for assessing the educational process in an online format.
From 17 to 19 August 2020, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic conducts webinars for representatives of universities and colleges, at which recommendations for preparing educational institutions for the beginning of the academic year are presented online.
